On behalf of all AVGA members and AVGA golfing friends, we would like to thank you for your support and urge you to register early for this year championship.

In the last two AVGA Open Championships in 2012 and 2013, a record 140 players started at the Championship. We were not able to accommodate a number of late entries. So, PLEASE register before 10/10/14

Sanctuary Lakes GC has been home of the Victorian PGA Championship on five occasions and this Sunday, 23/3/14, will host the Victorian Vietnamese Golf Association Open Championship 2014. This will be the biggest gathering of Vietnamese Golfers in Melbourne ever. There will be no room for Tiger, Phil, Rory, Anika etc... but there will be plenty of Tý, Tèo, anh Hai, cậu Ba, cô Thắm, chị Dậu , etc...

Congratulations to VVGA Committee for your initiative and endless efforts already put in for the Championship.

Sanctuary Lakes Club, a Greg Norman designed championship course which is highly rated amongst Australia’s top 100 courses. The course is in superb condition.

All AVGA members around Australia are invited, have you register yet ? An over whemming number of golfers already have. A full field on the day is expected, so if you have not, pick up the phone and speak nicely, begm bribe, or do whatever you need to do to register yourself. As, the VVGA Championship 2014 is a guarantee day of fun and challenge. A superb Melbourne band will entertain golfers and guests at the dinner presentation in the club house. So for all the interstate golfers, please book your last flight out of Melb or the next day to make sure you will stay for the whole event to fully appreciate VVGA members and committee efforts put in for your visit and participation.

Date: Sunday, 23/3/14

Time :

- 10 am Registration

- 12.45am shot gun tee off

Prizes: over $AUD 10 000 wrth of prizes to be won, over a million smiles to be seen.

Besides 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prizes for category A (GA from 0-15), B (from GA 16+) and Callaway (Players without official Golflink handicaps), there will also Bonus prizes for Lowest GROSS score, 2 x Longest drives, 4 x Nearest the Pins and Lucky draws for non-winners. (Prizes are given at Dinner Presentation – all absentees will not be able to redeem any prizes.)

Also: Best Nett Score of Category A or B will be the VVGA OPEN CHAMPION 2014, first prize include 2 x return tickets to Viet Nam.

Thời gian bắt đầu phát bóng : từ 12:00 đến 12:30pm (Giữa giờ Giáp Ngọ và giờ Ất Mùi) là giờ rất thuận tiện để đi tìm chim (birdies, eagles và albatros)

AVGA Championship 2011

Dear all golfers,

As is our tradition, every year, AVGA conducts a tournament to gather all golfers from all over the world to find out a club champion. We know our reigning champions are training their best and practicing their secret weapons to keep their title. We hope to inspire those new to the great game of golf to challenge the current champions Alex Tran and Hung Pham who were our AVGA champions in 2010.

We have had an overwhelming response from those golfers from other parts of the world who have already registered, like the Melbourne team, UGC TEAM from Canberra, Singapore, and Vietnam. Thank you so much for your support, and for helping our club reach our goals of growing stronger in the spirit and game of golf, and developing strong friendships.

We must also show our great appreciation to those who contribute to our club through their generous sponsorships. Dear all golfers,

Christmas is almost here and 2010 is quickly drawing to an end. I wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a prosperous new year, and of course, much improvement in golf techniques and in competition!

Thank you for all of your support throughout the year, both to our members and guests. All of our active committee members who have spent much of their valuable time, effort and own financial support into making AVGA a success (please don’t ask for a pay rise), I can’t thank you enough.

To all of the golfers who have inspired great spirit in the game of golf, especially the winners and runners up of the Championship, congratulations! To those who travel long distances to join our comp, as well as those who drive 2 minutes, thank you for making AVGA a success.

We hope to see you again in 2011. I wish everyone great travel, great golf, great family time and most importantly, good health! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
